Images that linger

a slower way of seeing
Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is Matt O'Donoghue
I’m a photographer who believes in slowing down. Often life demands we rush through the little moments to get to the next thing. But little details are often their own reward.
My work sits somewhere between observation and reflection. I’m drawn to quiet moments, small shifts of light, and the kind of details that are easy to miss when everything is moving too fast.
Based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, I make photographs, prints, and small-run zines as objects to return to. They’re meant to be lived with, not scrolled past.
This is not photography as display.
It’s a slower way of seeing.
What I Offer

fine art prints

Archival prints made to be lived with. Using only the highest quality paper, my fine art prints don't use any optical brightening agents, are acid free, and comply with the highest archival standard. My fine art prints are used in all my offered sessions, and limited run art prints are available from the store.

limited run zines

Limited run Zine's are available following a particular theme or idea. These limited editions are intended to be used reflectively for inner wellbeing. Each Zine seeks to invoke reflection, nuance, and contemplation. Zines can be purchased through the store when available.
Family Photography services

I work with families of all shapes and rhythms. Sessions are unrushed and adaptable, designed to meet you where you are—whether you have young children, neurodivergent kids, single-parent households, or simply a day that doesn’t fit a strict schedule. These services are patient, and designed to work into your way of being.

Specialist photography services
Not every moment worth remembering is easy or joyful. But they are still profoundly important. My specialist services are a slow and unobtrusive way to bring presence to a significant moment. Suitable for Palliative/End of life, NICU, or other medically sensitive or emotionally difficult settings.
